sick baby, cranky husband, crazy kids...life

Josh started working nights on Sunday and it's been a rough transition. We get less time together even though he's home, I have to try to keep the kids quiet, and the worse part of all is he has been REALLY cranky. He probably doesn't even realize it, but I have to try really hard not to be offended by the lack of conversation and signs of affection. I do look forward to Labor Day, that is when he should be on a normal schedule again. We also get a week long break from it starting the 23rd. We're taking the kids on their first camping trip.

On top of the cranky husband I have a sick little girl. She's been pretty pitiful for the last few days. She has thrown up once or twice each day and just sits around half asleep all day, not playing or even crying. This morning she fell asleep in the most uncomfortable looking position(see picture on left). I hope the doctor can give us some insight on how to help her.

The boys are the same as ever, full of energy, hungry, and messy. Logan is excited because he found his Tag pen and Mommy put new batteries in his leapster, but he still doesn't stay put for too long. Mommy doesn't sleep well without daddy, but I still manage to keep up with them and keep them quiet enough that Daddy can sleep. It's hard to get a moment to do anything. My house is destroyed, but instead of cleaning it, I took my spare moment to write this. You're welcome :)

Things around here are crazy, but I still feel like the luckiest woman in the world. I don't want to take any of this for granted. Even the tough times are a gift that I need to cherish. Thank you Lord for the crazy days that help us to appreciate the little things that we are given.

Poor Madi! It is so hard to watch babies be sick when there is not really anything you can do for them!

Did you design your own blog? How did you make the picture at the top? I want to do something like that for my blog but I am totally computer illiterate.
